Recently I came across a Vivitar Series 1 28-105??? in
Christian Photo in Des Moines. Don't know if it is
still there or not, but I was actually quite impressed
with the lens.
One thing that I've learned through the years of using
my OMs is that "viewfinder pop" is pretty much an
indication of a very sharp lens and good bokeh. This
thing "popped" into focus with a vengence. Even with
the varifocal design it was pretty easy to use.
Alas, it didn't have chrome rim. I would have been
tempted.
