Actually, I have said that. Digital has it's place, both can live in
harmony, Soup AND salad.

My best friend and I both wanted to buy a camera at the same time. He went
Canon Elan7E with a Zoom lens that has image stablizers. I went Om-1n with
Zuiko primes only. He said I was "non-progressive". Well, I had no comment
for that, I let my pictures speak for themselves!! They blow his out of the
water! If that is non-progressive, then I guess I'm non-progressive.

He laughed at me when I told him, I am contemplating buying a used McIntosh
tube amp, 6Watts. He laughed and said, how his new Pioneer was 600Watts! I
borrowed a 6Watt McIntosh and a pair of old Jenson Alnico speakers that were
106dB efficient. He couldn't believe it! He laughed and said how I am a
prime example of regression. Then I let him listen, and he has not said a
word since!

They don't make them like they use to, houses now don't have things like
draft in mind, so all the new houses are stuffy, unlike old houses which
were less dependent on AC, and thus opening up 2 windows on opposite ends
made the entire house cool instantly, the new houses are rocky and the old
houses were made by people who can pick wood, and architects that were just
as concerned about structure stablization as they were about asthetics and
practicality.

I am anal, I research everything, if I didn't, I would have a C*non and/or
N*kon right now instead of an OM! Digital has shown me it has the potential
to be impressive, but until it gets there, I'll stick to film.

When APS came out, someone told me, it's SOOOO easy it will kill 35mm.
Errr.. Right. They went out and bought 2. Right. I see APS about to die
to digital. I however know of people with 35mm cameras from about 20-30
years ago... and it's still going strong. 35mm/120 will be around for
quite a while, I have made a sound investment, and before I jump into the
digital world, I want to make sure that pool, has water in it. That's all.

Albert.
