Actually, on the issue of cropping and format...

I find it surprising, looking at the final versions of some of my scans, how
often I plump for a nearly square composition.

As to my 6x6 YashicaMat, the limited amount of film which has passed through
it I am very happy with. I really ought to get some scans up, but they would
have to be of prints, and my flatbed is hors de combat as we speak. I do
have some, somewhere. These would have been handheld, of course. Not ideal
with a TLR, IMO, especially if you're used to a 35mm.

Handholding a TLR and trying to square everything up gives me vertigo...
