Lama,
No polaroids. Strobe was on an umbrella; about 1 meter in diameter. Also has an *excellent* modeling light. Guessed there would be enough fill from the white ceiling and far wall based on the modeling light and photographs I've seen from his studio. Never any severe lack of fill. I feel lucky in that regard too.
