I've had two OM-PC's, and sold them both. I REALLY liked the camera. Matrix metering, nice rubber grip, TTL flash, bright screen. From a features standpoint, what's not to like? But the underlying build quality is definitely amatuer-quality. Remember, this is a consumer-grade camera that is 15-18 years old.

You ask: "Why did you sell them then?" Simply put, they were unreliable. One crapped out on me during my daughter's birthday party. Boy, was that a bad day! And that was AFTER it had been to John H's for a CLA.

My recommendation, however jaded, is to stay away from them. If you can't, you had better have a backup body. Some people have had very good luck, some (like me), have been burned. I'm with Tom Scales on this one though. Spend a few more bucks and get an OM-2sp or an OM-2n. The chances are good you'll spend the same amount on multiple OM-PC's or repairs.

What do you all think of the OM-PC in general?

I noticed on 'bay that of the 6 listed, only one is in
working condition. Is this something to take a pass on?

It seems to have a nice set of features for the price - if
you can find one working...
