The CD should work find on any Mac running a current system.  OS X includes
support for the long windows filenames (joliet filenames), but if you're
running an OS9.x variant you should install this utility:

http://www.tempel.org/joliet/

There should be no need to change file types, but if you end up needing to
do so I'd recommend this freeware:

http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/bdfree.html

There's lots of good stuff here... get the utilities package at the bottom
of the page.
