I haven't seen his site, but I played with the 25 auto tube on my 300, and
the viewfinder looked pretty sharp. Got an area about the size of a postcard
from about 6-7 feet away. Still too close for snakes, but maybe you just
can't use too much extension. The extension tube didn't work with the mirror
lenses as well, there was a lot of vignetting/edge falloff.
