Well, it's good to see that you don't have listed a certain 600mm lens :-)
Wow, what a windfall of cash!  It's hard to say what I would go for.  I like
your idea on the 300/2.8, but the Tamrons have been selling at theBay for at
least $800.00 (really closer to $1000.00+) for at least the past few weeks
unless they have some flaw.
It seems like bellows and 80mm/f4 macros are cheaper than say a year
ago...then again, I don't know if you are into close-ups of corn kernels or
not.
Have you thought about some graduated filters (cokin 'P' or Lee) for the
sweeping landscapes of corn rows?

Good luck...and let us know what you buy!
BTW, I'm headed out on a road trip at the end of the month.  I'd like to
take the 600 along.
