Thanks to all those who replied regarding the 80mm Macro.
After much thought I take the point that auto stop down is not essential,
however it is one less thing to worry about! My main point was that I just
assumed the lens was auto because the use of the auto extension tube was
mentioned. Also as the seller sold to the US. only it would have meant
postage to my sis in Colorado, and then extra to have it sent to me. This
meant the lens would not have been much cheaper than buying from a dealer in
the UK. - with a guarantee.
