Hi everyone!
I've been a member of the list for a week and trying to keep up with all
interesting traffic on it... Some of you are quite chatty :)

Well then, a presentation of me and my gear.
I'm a student at Mälardalen University in Västerås, Sweden. I study computer
science at undergraduate level, currently doing my mastertheisis. This doesn't
mean that I can answer any question about why windows do this and that...
Anyway I'm on this list for my photography interest, wich has been hold back
for
some year but now I have rediscovered the enjoyment in takeing more than
snapshots and sitting in dark rooms with my hands in stinking bowls. I
currently
active in students photoclubb wich gives me access to a great darkroom. :)

So my gear... My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, that I used as a kid.
Next
camera of interest was my mothers OM-1 MD, wich I later "adopted". It's still
in
my possesion but is broken and needs to see the doctor before all spare part
run
out... Just to give you a timeline reference we are now in the late '80:ies and
I saw James Bond use a OM-4 Ti but the coolest camera you could get was Minolta
Dynax 7000i, so guess what, I bought one. My then girlfriend had a darkroom in
her parents house, so I started to do my own copies and such. It was about now
that my mother OM-1 broke and I put it in a shoebox. I had used it taking
photos
in a jazz-clubb, it was a perfect equipment, quiet and slim. I mostly used it
with the 135/2.8. The Minolta was way to noisy to use in that enviroment.
The years passed and I now only took snapshyots again, using the Minolta on
fammilyevents and vacations. Some years ago I started hiking, a specialy in the
northen mountains of Sweden and Scandinavia. The Minolta was on these tripps
equiped with a 50/1.4 and a 100-300/4.5-5.6 zoom, and was quite well. One day
in
the national park Sarek, it desided to rewind the film after about 10
exposures.
The next film did the same, so I laid in my tent remembering that in a shoebox
at home was a camera that had manual filmrewind. The OM-1.
A week or so later I was home again passing a photostore I saw a OM-1n, with a
shoe-4. So I bought it, got home, searched for the shoebox and find it. The
content was:

1 OM-1 MD
1 28/3.5
1 50/1.8
1 135/2.8
1 300/5.6 (Tokina)
1 Winder 2
3 exetension rings

So thats about it. My current photogear. And of cause I have a wish list, a
OM-4
would be nice. A small telelens would be fun. A Oly flash perhaps.

So flame me or greet me, but now I'm on the list!

/ Johan
