This has reminded me, I have to send my lifetime guaranteed Tilley Hat
back for replacement.

I'm a little disappointed as I only bought it in 1995. Granted, it has
been to the Andes Mountains of Bolivia 5 times, crisscrossed half of
Canada numerous times, survived numerous overnight spring canoeing
trips, deep sea fishing and whale watching trips, hunting trips, hiked
several national parks trails, been cleaned of pine and fir pitch when
worn for woods work (comes off harder than blood and fish guts), and
then there is the grease from under the car.... oh maybe I'd best not
mention that part. Anyways, I don't think its been through the automatic
washing machine more than 100 times. And I try to tell the wife to only
use normal soap, she never listens. Now the thing has developed a one
inch tear!! So its going back for free replacement, at least that's what
the warranty says will happen.
OM content.... oh, there has to be OM content? Well, let's see, I have
used it to shade the lens a few times.
