Aw, c'mon, Andrew, don't get peeved at me again. It upsets me
so! Besides, it was a birthday present.

In the past five or six years, I've ventured out of the house to
smaller, more intimate venues to see (in alphabetical order) Greg
Brown, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, Richard Thompson,
Loudon Wainwright III, and Doc Watson. The Dylan concert at
Phillips Arena, a cavernous basketball and hockey house ill-suited
to much else, except maybe a tractor pull, was the first big
concert in a BIG building with a B-I-I-I-G crowd I've attended
since Jerry Garcia died. (Yes, I'm a Deadhead. So what?)
Saturday night was also probably my last big concert, big
building, big crowd. It just ain't fun anymore. Getting old and
cranky. I guess.

Did Dylan really sing, "The ants are my friends, they?re blowing
in the wind"?

And what is a Kinky Friedman? Sounds like somebody wearing a
raincoat who probably should be avoided, perhaps arrested.
