Smooth, the motor whine was a lot higher pitched, at least twice
the pitch, faster winding, and smooth, and smooth, did I mention

Ian,
Just out of curiosity, what is the low temperature rating for these greases if you happen to have this data? Of interest is the low temperature at which the grease would stiffen to a point of impeding the winder. Some of us use our gear in severe cold weather; I've been out in -20F on a couple of occasions. Rarely that cold here, but it does occur, and I know the Canadian and Scandanavian list members can easily experience those temperatures and lower during Winter.
