I believe the cable you are asking about is the SCA 300A, order code #5484,
which allows an SCA 300 series hot shoe module, such as the SCA 321 for the
OM's, to be attached at one end just as it would be to a flash head. The
other end has a plug that fits into the G15, G16 and other Metz potato
masher handles. The plug is a design unique to Metz flash handles (sockets
for the SCA 3000A plug with more contacts are backward compatible with the
SCA 300A plug).
Another cable is the Metz 45-54, order code #5531. It's the equivalent of
an SCA 300A with the generic SCA 301 module for *only* the hot shoe center
trigger contact permanently attached to it. One end slides into the hot
shoe and locks down to it with a "thumb nut." The other end has the same
proprietary plug for G15, G16, etc. on the other end.
One more cord you might be interested in if you're using a flash bracket
such as a Stroboframe is the SCA 307A, order code #5499. One end takes the
SCA 300 series module just as the SCA 300A does. The other end has a base
on it similar to an SCA 300 series module except the shoe has no
contacts. It slides onto the flash head and the shoe is used to attach the
flash to the flash bracket as if it were a flash hot shoe.
I've only used the SCA 300A which works very well going from the hot shoe
to the G16 "potato masher" grip I have for the Metz MZ40-3i. I've seen the
other two although I haven't used them. They are well constructed just as
the SCA 300A is, and should work just as well also.
