Hello,
I would like to Reintroduce myself to the list - I only just found the list
a month or so ago and decided to walk away due to the sheer volume of posts
as well as it seems a difference of opinion on a matter that seems to have
come about anyway (ebay ID's - so that someone like myself who has more
equipment than I can use can have the chance to consider not driving hard on
an item against a fellow lister who really needs that item).
Since that time I have made a few purchases for bodies and lenses in the not
so great cosmetics department to put away so that I may always have those
wonderful mechanical cameras to use (regardless of their "pretty" value) and
have put my whole kit up (less uglies) for sale. You may have seen my
auction, "All My OM 75+..."
Can't really say weather I will sell those items or not, as there are quite
a few pieces - and I do not intend to give them away, or give someone such a
margin that they can just turn around and sell them individually for far
more. They are more to me than just pieces of commerce, so a "no sale"
will not really be a problem. At some time in the future I may just sell
them individually or in groups or may make them available to loan to trusted
individuals. I am sorry as I have blathered on like this and have not come
to the problem at hand.
I was sitting at my desk today and reached over and picked up the black
OM-4t just to run it through my hands and listen to the sound (am I the only
one who does this?) and the shutter locked! I do not know what to do, I
have replace batteries - put it on B and 60 - pressed the rewind button, I
am at a loss folks. I am not worried about the auction as I will certainly
send this to any potential buyers repair man of choice, but this camera has
had less than 20 rolls of film put through it. What am I doing wrong!?
Other than some 2n's this is the only electronically controlled camera I own
(+ another 4T).
I really would appreciate any help you can offer,
Thanks, Paul
