For me, it is usually when I have exposures longer than 1/8.  This is in
interiors mostly, or night shots when the exposure can be up to 30
seconds.  I have never found a problem with "vibration", but I also feel
comfortable hand holding up to 1/4 second if necessary.  I have some K25
shots where I had to use 1/4 and full aperture that came out great!  In
fact, it is sometimes best when shooting architecture to have people
blurred so as not to "date" or distract from the general subject.

I wish I had some of those examples scanned, but I haven't had time yet.
