You asked about the lens you had started taking to bits.

you will see that Gary has tested this lens style and at f/11 it is perhaps the
sharpest of all the Zuiko 1.8s
The 50/1.8 Zuikos with "Made in Japan" inscribed on the front ring and with
the lens serial number on the chrome ring just in front of the bayonet ring
were the last design put into production and reputedly the sharpest. They
have a history of getting oil on the iris blades, and are perhaps less robust
than others, as I understand what I have learned. But sharp.
