Well, my standard MO is: When I see something photo-worthy, I take the shot. I'll go way out of my way to get a good angle, wait long periods for the right light conditions if necessary.

I don't just hose my camera around left, right, and center, just taking roll after roll of meaningless snapshots hoping to get a couple of gems amongst the trash.

The name of my game is quality, not quantity. Less is more, that sort of thing.

But don't worry, my crud pile is still a lot bigger'n my keep pile.

One o' these days, I'll have to scan some in for y'all to admire.

Nothing wrong with any of that. On the other hand you might learn a lot from snapshots. In a manner of speaking you might consider them almost to be _establishing_ shots. The world looks different in a 35mm frame. Unless you take those establishing it's possible you'll never know what you've missed.
