As I have posted about my getting rid of equipment as a positive thing, I
just received an item that has taken me a few steps in the other direction.
I made contact with a fellow who is selling an OM-4T on the bay right now, I
was maybe interested in the 35-70 lens that he was selling with the camera.
He shipped to me for my inspection an Black OM-4T and an Motor Drive 2. He
did not even require that I pay him unless I upon inspection want the
camera. The camera and drive are in like new condition - the only problem
was he said that the camera was over wound and the drive had the check light
button stuck. I have powered up the drive and it works as it should - just
not for very long. And the camera meters just fine and is very clean
inside. I called him and was informed that he would take $150.00 for the
both of them. I mentioned the list and he said that it was a great resource
but that he no longer subscribes (probably due to his selling all his
equipment).
Can this be considered a Fang - or are these problems expensive to correct?
