The program I use for writing html (actually any text editor will do) is
Arachnophilia, which has a very good clear interface.
If you want to understand what you are writing, that's my recommendation.
And it's free.
For the little bit of twisty code that enables you to click on an image to
bring
up either another bigger image, or another page with the bigger image inside
it, give me a call and I'll explain in a couple of lines.
