Unlax, lass.

eBay's like life -- there's good 'uns, and there's bad 'uns. I've done dozens
of transactions on the evilOne, and I've only ever gotten genuinely screwed
once (by a gent in Montreal, when I bought a 200/4.0 off of him). Probably my
fault, since I wasn't asking enough questions, and I've since adopted the
policy that, if my spidey-sense is tingling at all, I e-mail the seller and ask
for a daytime or home phone number where I can talk to them (I've done this for
international sellers, too). Yes, it costs a few bucks, but considering how
much you might be dropping on a piece of glass, it's worth it for the peace of
mind alone.

If you phone the seller and after the conversation you *still* have a tingly
spidey-sense, DON'T BID. If they refuse to give you a phone number to contact
'em, DON'T BID. If they don't answer your e-mail questions to your
satisfaction, DON'T BID. There's always more glass coming 'round the bend next
week. ;-)
