You should have offered to buy his 'defective' camera from him for $100...
and any lenses he didn't want, since you have a different OM to use the
lenses with, and maybe you would want to send the OM-4 in and pay $250 or
$300 to get the battery problem fixed... bet he would have gone for it...! I
bought an OM-2n once, described as 'jammed' 'the mirror won't go down', 'for
parts or repair'. It needed repair all right, it needed two new batterys and
the reset done. Works perfectly now 8*)
