Well, Guess what. I did it.
Yup, went to the camera store in Des Moines and traded in the OM
kit for a new digital system. Bought an Olympus E20 with every
imaginable lens and flash accessory. Nice! Karen is pleased
that the film budget will finally be under control. Was able to
swing the transaction without any cash. They gave me enough
trade-in allowance to cover 1000f the purchase price.
It turns out that most of my clients these days are wanting
digital images and not willing to pay the extra for film and
processing. With the digital camera I'll be able to better meet
the needs of my clients.
I haven't broken the news to my wedding customers yet, but I
hope they understand. Maybe "Instant Wedding Photos,
Enlargements While You Party!" will be a sell point.
Can you imagine, ME? Going Digital? Who would have guessed.
