Hi!
<STORY>
I've a sad but not yet finished story to tell and request for help!
Last fall I was out kayaking in the archipelago of St Anna in Sweden, and I
had an "incident"... I rolled over you could say, and my trusty 1n joined me
in the water. The camera was rushed to the doctor and some weeks later it
was returned to me, as new I thought and it looked and worked like the 1n it
is. I exposed a roll of colour negatives and it seemed to be alright. Early
December I shot a TMAX-400CN when I was skiing and that film laid around a
while before I got it developed so when I around Christmas went skiing with
my family and loaded the camera with Kodachrome 64, my favourite
winter-and-snow film, I was not prepared for the result. The camera worked
very well in the cold weather so I suspected nothing... When I saw the
almost black chromes I of course was very confused it's supposed to be very
white in the snow...

I went over to my local camera store and we did some testing and we couldn't
find anything wrong with the camera. After discussions we agreed upon the
human factor, I had of course forgotten to change the ASA-dial from 400 to
64. Stupid me I thought and did not think about it more. I bought a OM-4
this spring and therefor didn't shoot any film with my OM-1.

Now comes along my latest ski-trip. I had come across three rolls of
Kodachrome 25 and shoot two of them during this trip. The camera worked like
a clock! Today I received the chromes. All badly underexposed. Even the
shoots taken indoors with my T20. This is not fun any more and this time I
KNOW I didn't set the ASA-dial wrong. So today... More testing.
</STORY>

<PROBLEM>
My 1n underexposes at least two steps in bright light.
This I found out today comparing exposure times with another OM-1n and a
Nikon F4. The result was comparable equal when pointing to dark and "grey"
surfaces but when pointing to our today bright but cloudy sky my 1n just
freaks!
</PROBLEM>

<PLEA>
Is this the end for my 1n? Can this be fixed?
</PLEA>

A comment is that I now have realised why the exposed TMAX-400CN was so
dark. My 4 and 1n shares lenses and the underexposed photos can not be
blamed on the lenses.

TIA / Johan
