Yeah, it's pretty simple.

For the above-stated combination:

   [(20^2) + (32^2)]^0.5 =

    (400   +  1,024)^0.5 =

    1,424^0.5 = approx. 37.7

If you do the same calculation for two T32s, you get approx. 45.3, which is the 
output of a T45.  This shouldn't be a surprise -- the T45 turns out to have a 
flash-head with two T32-style bulbs ganged.
