I was intrigued by it too. I don't think it can be used on other regular lenses without considerable modification. Look here to see how the kit is designed to work FCON <http://www.chriscamera.com/south/ipix.htm> Looks like it's held in front of the lens in a plastic clamp that then clips on the camera body. Yep . . . you're right. Looks as if the designers definitely didn't want it easily adaptable to other cameras (digital or otherwise)!! According to the specs on B&H site, it's a 0.4X which means it's intended to work with a short lens (approx. 21mm for 35mm small format), *not* a standard lens! The message I get from Olympus after looking at a picture of it on B&H: if you want its capability, you also gotta buy the digital from us to put behind it.

What might be useful is the Nikon FC-E8; emphasis on *might* be. It's a 0.5X which means you would theoretically have to use it with a 16mm rectilinear lens (not a fisheye); the closest is the 18/3.5 with *protruding* front element! Rear mount diameter is 28mm and this would have to be adapted to the 72mm filter ring on the OM's step-up/lens shade for the 18mm lens. Nikon also makes a number of adapter rings for its digitals (Coolpix 800, 880, 885, 900, 950, 995 and 5000). One of these might help get it mounted to the front.
