Sorry Moose... I use the snipe for that reason, and also so I don't get
tempted into upping my offer after being outbid. I did that once and paid
'realistically' too much for a camera, so I had to rein in my
competitiveness, and one way to do it is only give myself one shot.

I've got a whole stock portfolio (a small one...) full of 'greater fool'
buys... I got stuck holding the bag. The stock market -- how to turn a large
fortune into a small fortune (even smaller if you started small...)
