So does that mean that once it's got the post-development curl, I'm stuck
with it?

Right, that makes sense; an entire roll of film is nearly heavy enough to
keep itself straight, but the bottom tends to curl, and 120 film is wide
enough to have that much more 'oomph' to the curl. [1]

I can squeegee it with my fingers? Handy -- I've been being really careful
not to touch it, but if I can get away with that that would be very useful..

 thanks!

[1] off-OM-topic, but boy, it sure is a pain loading 120 film onto metal
spools compared to the plastic ones; loaded one roll, everything seemed a
bit sketchy in the dark but by that time I was committed and it wasn't going
to load no matter how much I retried. When I took it out of the tank, the
mis-loaded bit had _stuck_ to the bit it was next to.. sigh.
