Heavy weather went through the metroplex this evening. I pulled over on the
way home from work to watch as funnel clouds darted in and out of a very
close rotating wall cloud. I saw one snake down, then up, then back almost
to the ground in an S-curve Had a splendid view from the parking lot at
Popeye's Fried Chicken, good light, but not an OM one with me. Darn. By
the time I thought of going to a nearby supermarket for a disposable camera,
the show was over.
Incidentally, restaurants are good choices for such viewing - they have
walk-in coolers for when it gets a little too exciting.
I have a small bag with an OM in the truck now.
