Tom sums up this article nicely... the referenced article explains
everything you ever wanted to know about F280 operations.

My theory about varying light output was incorrect, shows I'm not a
physicist -or- engineer. I must try to play with the FP flash some to see
how it actually works on pictures, which is really the most important
thing...
