What does this cord look like?

Bryan Pilati
OM-2N

This cord has a small box at one end with a hot shoe foot on it. It slides into the hot shoe of any of the OM's. The cord is coiled. When stretched out with reasonable force, it's 60cm (0.6m) long. For the metric challenged, that's within a half inch of 2 feet. The other end has a miniature DIN connector that connects to the miniature DIN sockets on the "T" series flashes and flash accessories (e.g., the T-32 and BG2 have sockets on them). The cord provides flash sync, the flash ready signal and allows full TTL/OTF flash control between an OM body (that has TTL/OTF capability; a few do not) and a T-Series flash. This cord you are asking about has **three** contacts on the hot shoe foot, and the miniature DIN connector has **five** pins (see important note below).

IMPORTANT NOTE:
There is a very nearly identical cord designed to connect the hot shoe of an OM-3ti or OM-4T to an F280 flash. It has 5 contacts on the hot shoe foot and a 7 pin miniature DIN connector. The 7 pin DIN will *only* fit the socket on an F280 flash! If you find one of these cords, **count** the number of metal contacts on the hot shoe foot and **count** the number of pins in the DIN connector! This cord and the other one can easily be confused with each other.
