[OM] wrong Modern info about F280; eBay

"...Although illumination provided by the F280 flash is constant in FP mode,
the amount of fill can be controlled relative to ambient light by selecting
higher or lower shutter speeds. This is accomplished by changing the lens
aperture in automatic mode."

Although Modern is almost always technically correct, this is wrong, wrong,
wrong, wrong, wrong.

If the fill illumination is continuous and constant, then the amount of fill
_cannot_ be altered by changing the aperture! Why? Because the shutter speed
will follow, proportionately altering the amount of flash light that reaches
the film.

The reason this works on leaf-shutter cameras is precisely because the flash
duration is not "continuous" -- it is much shorter than even the highest
shutter speed -- so changing the shutter speed has no effect on the exposure.
You can then choose the aperture for the amount of fill you want and the
shutter speed for correct background exposure with that aperture.

How can anyone condemn eBay when KEH sells stuff for 50% more than eBay prices?
True, KEH is an honest, ethical dealer, but so are most (not all!) eBayers. If
you bought multiple lenses, you'd probably come out better on eBay.
