I have my OM stuff in my house contents policy (Palladium... who?)
and have had since I have had OM -with a variety of insurance
companies. I had occasion in 1989 to claim for a stolen OM2SP (from
a car parked on Mission Beach in San Diego, along with my swimming
trunks). My British international, all-risks policy paid up for an
OM4 to replace it (the 2SP was out of production then I think).

I think that you should find another broker or company. You can
insure pretty well whatever you like for nearly whatever you like.
The replacement cost could easily be worked out using a sample of
price lists for used OM stuff.

Insurance companies are not normally fussy about taking your money
(and then delaying paying it out on a claim) :<(.

Particularly for European list members...
I was wondering if any of you have a specific insurance policy for your OM
stuff? I just found that my house contents policy here in Belgium doesn't
cover loss/theft outside of the house so I have to take a specific extra
policy. My broker says it's not worth it for my 'old' OM stuff because
they depreciate the value 100er year (so my OM stuff from 1983 is now in
negative territory, I'd have to pay them if it was stolen!)
Ideas please?
Thanks (hoping never to need to claim!)
