2 Things to check:
==============
1. Was the ASA dial on that OM-1n set to the same EI as the film? If I
recall, the pointer for the ASA dial is on the collar around the shutter
release, at about 1 o'clock (as you look down on the ASA dial with the lens
facing away from you.) The correct setting is not the one facing the
pentaprism, upside down. The correct number is not the number that faces
horizontally (at 3 o'clock)!!

2. Check the foam in the mirror box. If it's gooey, it's likely that

a.) the camera has not been modified to accept a silver oxide battery and
it's very, very likely you've been using the wrong battery. Dunno if this
results in overexposure or underexposure though.

b.) If you have gooey foam, it's likely that the camera meter has never
been tuned in it's whole life. It's earned a cleaning, lube, and
adjustment. (CLA) Get a spare body and a body cap on ebay, test it, (if
you don't already have a backup) then send the OM-1n to a repairman with the
body cap on it. Don't feel inferior to your Minolta buddy. You'll have two
bodies! After the CLA, you can sell off the spare body if you hate having
two. It's like renting a body while your OM-1n is in for repair.

Smile!

Lama

ps, See my other post for a suggestion on a spare OM body.
