Greg,
First, the SPn and Sp are great rangefinder cameras and you will be pleased
with the sharpness and contrast rendered by the 7 element lens.
I will be happy to photocopy my manual for you if you can't find a more
viable source. Let me know.
I have been looking for a lens shade for my SP for over two years. They
supposedly exist, but I am beginning to think it is a myth. You will find
that a conventional round lens hood impinges into the viewfinder area. Good
luck on finding one, and if you find two, let me know ASAP.
My SP has a bright secondary image in the viewfinder, so yours may need to
be cleaned. I found that judicious cleaning of the light baffle for the
rangefinder and the secondary port helped alot.
