Is the dust damaging the lens from contact? If so send
it back. If the dust is the only problem go to your
local camera shop or send it off asap to Clint/ Ken or
John H to have the lens cleaned. Other places will
also be able to clean out the lens but thosse three
specialize in Olympus. If nothing is broken or damaged
in the lens I would keep it. Warn the seller that he
should check the case before he ships next time.

Get the lens cleaned out asap though with lots of
dessicant cause I can imagine that foam is one huge
pile of mildew by now and that's in the lens! It needs
a good scrubdown or else you will probably find
something growing in the lens soon and that would suck
big time

I can imagine the pain you felt when you looked and
saw what had happened through thoughtlessness. Either
launder the case or chuck it out...
