I would imagine it is pricey - and risky. Unless there are new processes I haven't heard of, they all involve an application with the glass heated to a very high temperature so there us the risk of damage to the glass from this alone. When lenses are manufactured the ones that suffer catastrophy in the coating process are simply written off and the cost absorbed into the general QC losses of the maker.

lens, can Olympus (or someone else) multicoat the lens?  Obviously
I am talking about lenses without damage to the glass.  If it is possible,
is it cost prohibitive and/or a stupid idea?
