I'm planning to go to the above event at the end of the month, and would
appreciate a bit of guidance on what gear to take to photograph it. I'm
thinking of Mike Veglia & Stephen Scharf in particular here, Hi folks! I've
been into bike racing for years, but have never bothered to take a camera
before, due to a lack of telephoto lenses. However, the recent purchase of
a 300/4.5 Zuiko opens up the possibilities. I also have a 200/4 and a 2x
teleconverter, would these be of any use? I've never been to this track
before, but plan to watch the saturday qualifying as well to get a feel for
things. Are there any tips for getting good shots? I'm guessing corners
are good places to be. Should I use faster film than I normally would, I
assume fast shutter speeds are called for? Should I use a tripod or
monopod? Any tips gratefully received, bearing in mind my usual thing is
shooting landscapes. Thanks
