Yes, I believe that inserting a plug into the remote power input jack on
either of the winders disconnects the power from the battery tray.  When
you think about it, that only makes sense.  But I suppose if you wanted
to, you could jump the disconnect so that the remote input could serve
as an output to run (for example) modeling lights on a ring flash.
