[OM] Rebuilding a lens'es hard case?

Has anyone ever changed the vinyl on the lid of a hard case?  I have uhhhhh
a candidate.

It looks like the emobssed top part is the last part attached.  Is the glue
likely to let go if I heat the lid with a hair drier?

Does anyone have near mint hard case collection for sale?
