Tal,
Battery drain on the OM-4, and on the OM-2S for that matter, is usually exaggerated. It's one of those things that sort of picks up stream through mere discussion. I'm sure that some are worse than others, but the OM-4 is probably the best bang for the buck going. Unless you need the possibility of the FP sync/F280, I would not walk away from a nice OM-4 if you want the features.

There were several iterations of circuit board (I think I've heard up to 5!) in the OM-4. The better/newer versions will cause the beeper on the battery check to go off after 30 seconds. Use only 357 batteries and you've got a great camera for about half the cost of a 4Ti. I have both a 4 and 4T (same as a 4Ti, just badged differently) and I can't really say that I am aware that the batteries last longer in the 4T than the 4 (however I use both quite a bit and probably just wear the batteries out before drain can really be observed) . The 4T is great too, and I'm glad I have it for that once-in-a-month-with-five-Sundays that I use it with the F280. But the best thing about the 4Ti is that it makes the 4 such a sweet deal in the marketplace.
