I sent a 300mm f2.8 to a shop in California that Tamron suggested. The
shop didn't stay on top of it. Nothing was being done. After repeated
calls they sent it to Tamron in New York. I would recommend dealing
directly with Tamron in NY.

Does anyone know of a good repair facility for third-party lenses? I
don't think either John or Clint will work on non-Zuikos. I'm thinking
specifically of Tamron, kiron and Vivitar Series 1 lenses.
