Purley (in the county of Surrey) is at most 45 mins by train from the
centre of London (note spelling of centre :>)); but your cousins will
know well enough I expect  Once you are in London, moving about by
bus, underground train or on foot is quite easy.  There are river
tours and bus (open-top) tours, or you could pay a taxi driver to
show you around (pricey!).

Your conundrum with the digicam is a) too complicated to be fun and
b) one of the reasons I don't bother....
