This man's name was Philo T. Farnsworth and his contribution to television
was the device that actually transmits the image. His story is well
documented in technical literature and at least one book and there is a
museum dedicated to his work in Rigby, Idaho. It is very true. /jim

Television - invented in USA!!? - not

This is one which keeps coming back. The only person with an actual name /
address / passport who invented television was John Logie Baird. He was
Scottish. All the others are like "the guy RCA stole the idea from" -
nameless and non - existent.
Evidently, lots of previous work from all over the world was brought
together in the actual invention of television, but that's true for
everything.
