I then did the proper research and found that Heliopan slim
circular polarizers are just fine. Both Heliopan and B+W filters
use German glass and brass mounts, and many people believe that
they are the best filters.

Hi!

Most manufacturers seem to offer standard and high-quality versions of their
filters (e.g. Hama's high-end filters are called 'HTMC', Heliopan's 'PMC'
etc.). I would guess it's a special coating but can anyone tell if the
difference between standard and PMC filters is worth the extra money?

Prices at Team-Foto, germany (no connection)

Heliopan SLIM E-49 35,- EUR
Heliopan SLIM E-49 PMC 55,- EUR
