I agree that in general Kodak's cameras have been, for the most part, low
quality and that they produce poor images.  However, I would remind those
who are overly distraught by the pending Olydak, that Kodak did produce the
Retina.

I own 4 Retinas spanning the time from the first Model 117 which is the
first modern 35mm camera, to a IIIc.  The Retinas are beautifully crafted
instruments that produce very sharp photos.  Even my near 70 year old 117
renders a surprisingly sharp photo.  And, it is fully functional after all
this time.

So, these are German cameras, not really Kodak.  That's my point.  The hope
is that the Olydak will be a camera made in Japan to the quality of the
better Olympus cameras.
