Hi Bob and group:

I'm also new to the group-you all seem to be very helpful, very informed and
just a tad chatty-I've looked forward to your posts for the last four days.
Very enjoyable.

I'm using an OM-1MD. Works great. Have had it for years-just now starting to
get past the beginner stage, get more stuff, take a class, exhibit in a
local show, etc. I'm looking forward to learning a lot and maybe
contributing my .02 once in a while.

Bob, you cautioned using the 35mm shift with an OM-1. Doesn't mate well.
What did you mean?
Will it work at all? Don't have the $$ for one today, but always wanted
one...

And, if it won't work with an OM-1, what do you folks recommend as a second
body. I like my OM-1 and have not used any automatic (had a little Minolta
and Yashica D long long time ago)nor do I really think I want to go
auto...but I an open to your (everyone's) ideas and comments.

I have been on this list a long time and that is the first time I
remember seeing such a statement about the 35mm shift. I think the
only thing you have to do is to make sure that you meter, according
to Olympus' instructions, in the centered position no matter which OM
model.
