printing time, but for 2 stops, I need it compensated at development

Well, unlike slide film, negative film is quite *patient, general rule
is you can shoot -1 stop even without compensating (i.e. push) in the lab.
Since it's not even two stops I would have it pushed 1 stop, you should
be fine. Pushing 2 stops should work also, but is usually more
expensive. It might depend also on what kind of light situation you
shot, but I won't pretend I'm an expert...
I will be taking it to a pro lab, so what should I tell them, or will
they know better then me?
tell them the truth ;).
