[OM] OM4-Ti or Minolta Maxxum 5?

I'm thinking I want something with a spot meter, or just something with a little bit more accurate metering then my OM1n is offering me currently.. I love my OM because it's so compact that traveling with it is easy... and up until now, I haven't really found another camera of the same size that I liked... Until I saw the Minolta Maxxum 5. It's about the same size as the OM, with autofocus, and great metering.. Something my gf can use without that much learning "Honey, set it to "P" for perfect!" So I'm debating between getting a used OM4-Ti or a new Maxxum 5. The lens I'm interested in for the maxxum is the 24-105mm zoom. That's got to be the ultimate travel lens. 24mm for landscapes, and 105mm for portraits... Both together doesn't break $500 I think... So it's tempting.. I'd probably add a 50mm macro to that, and that's about it. So while this is got to be the most biased forum to ask such a question, I figure if the Maxxum is a great buy, then even the very biased OM forum would tell me so and recommend me in that direction..
