I've flown a couple times placing my film inside of a lead bag inside of
a lead bag. They hand search my film every time after asking me if its
okay. They've also "hand searched my shoes" but so far nothing else.
YMMV. A couple super protection lead bags apparently make it so dark
they have no idea what's inside.

Put your camera ahead of the film bag. They always stop when the lead
blocks their view. You want to be able to get through the gate, grab
your cameras and be ready for them to hand search the lead bag.

I use slow chrome film so I probably wouldn't see any problems anyway.
However if they can't see anything it sure seems like the lead must
reduce what the film sees.
